At year's end, neighbors of the
bridge, who had fought the demolition, decorated the bridge with holiday
lights in a salute to the structure. The bridge is scheduled to be
destroyed in 2005.

Tavener Bridge was demolished in 2005 and replaced
with a concrete bridge.
There went another piece of our history. Once our historical sites
are gone we can not get them back.
